Sentence exclamation/whom
Message from mohammad51 posted on 28-11-2018 at 12:02:55 (D | E | F)
Hello
Please help with this.
I answered this question online
That's the boy ...... I met at the party!
a- whom
b- - (nothing)
c-what
d- who
Of course to use ( whom) is not wrong >>> objective pronoun and to leave it clear blank also is correct.
That's the boy I met at the party! correct
But why does the page accept only on ( B)?
If you choose ( whom) then your answer goes wrong.
I think it is because the sentence is exclamation. Isn't it?

Bonjour
B is right.
As it is a restrictive sentence, maybe the expected missing relative pronoun was that.
Compare.
All the people that had been questioned by the police were released. The rest are still with the police.

All the people, who had been questioned by the police, were released. They are all free .

That's the boy (that) I was telling you about !

Hello
Many thanks to you gerondif
I think I get it
when the relative pronoun is object it is unnecessary to mention.
If the relative pronoun is a subject it is necessary.
And that's all the story.
I have practiced many questions like my topic last days.

Hello everybody
I think if we say whom is correct, who also is correct , since who is used for both subject and object. So the best one is B. See you

Exactly. B is correct. No need for a relative pronoun .
