Here is my work:
1- A broad piece of metal, wood etc carried as a protection against weapons. (d h s l) shield = bouclier.
2- A crack or narrow opening (in a wall, rock) etc. (v c c r) 3 crevice = fissure.
3- The edge of the roof sticking out beyond the wall. (v s) 3 eaves = corniche.
4- Deep and rough. (f r g f) 1 gruff = rauque, bourru.
5- A noisy quarrel or physical fight. (w b l r) 1 brawl = rixe.
6- To agree or match. ..... (l t l) 2 tally = correspondre à.
7- A car, bicycle etc built for competitive racing. (c r r) 2 racer = voiture, vélo de course.
8- To take no notice of. (k v r l) 4 overlook = négliger.
9- (Of a river) to flow slowly along with many bends and curves. (r m n d) 3 meander = méandre.
10- A room with a bed or beds for patients in a hospital. (r w d) 1 ward = salle d'hôpital.
