Pronoun/reported speech
Message from ronja posted on 31-10-2011 at 16:49:44 (D | E | F)
Hello
I need your help please:
“If the meeting is cancelled, I can leave earlier,” said the colleague.
I don't know if the colleague is a man or woman.
How can I change the following direct speech into a reported speech?
The colleague said if the meeting was cancelled HE? or THE COLLEAGUE? could leave earlier.
He or the colleague, which is correct?
Thank you for your answers.
