Hello!
I know that the word "bank" has many different meanings. One of them is a piled-up mass.
Could you please tell me from which language and from which word this meaning of the word "bank" came from? And what is the difference between any piled-up mass, heap, mound and the "bank"?

It is impossible to get this difference. I hoped you could answer more clearly in your own words.

a long raised mass, esp of earth; mound; ridge
a slope, as of a hill
Which is the difference between a bank and all these mounds, ridges, slopes and hills?
