Hello,

Could you help me please?
I have a question about some verbs like doest or shalt;you know these are archaic forms of do and shall.
Is there any rule to make such verbs? and how and when do we use them and also pronouns like such as thou and thy.

Hello ,

You come across such archaic English when studying Old English ( from Chaucer to Elizabethean times ) .
You'll read or hear them at church , any religious place I should think , and when people pronounce official vows which have always been said like that, because of an ancient writing.
You may also find them in poetry, when a poet wants to emphasise and be more striking , in a purpose of rhythm , for instance .
