Hello.
A very educated woman on TV said this: ''I am worried about Monster because he has attacked people in the past''.
Can you tell me why this is correct/incorrect?
It just doesn't seem right to me at the moment and my brain has blocked so I can't figure it out. I would eventually but I can't wait since it's so irritating.
Thank you for any reply.

Hello,
What seems to be the problem? What do you find incorrect about that sentence?

Hello,
the meaning being:
'I am worried about Monster because he has already attacked people in the past''.
the present perfect seems logical. a past action has a result in the present: I am worried.

Thank you both for your replies. I understand it now. My brain had blocked, but it's fine now, I've figured it out.
Now I don't even know why I posted that.
Thanks again.
